Community Clean Up

Our church building is located directly next to a tough neighborhood. About half of all police calls in the city have to do with this particular neighborhood. So, since we moved into our building about 5 years ago, we have continually looked for ways to serve this community and demonstrate God’s love.

One practical way we’ve done that is by doing cleanups around the area. About 20 members from our church worked alongside a similar number of residents from Gosling Meadows for the Fall Clean-up this morning. We believe that serving alongside our neighbors does so much good - from giving folks a context to serve to building relationships. The church is meant to be like a city on a hill, demonstrating God’s love and justice. So we wanted to do that with a rake and a smile.
